Course Description:

 

Are you thinking about advancing your career or becoming a National Board Certified Teacher? This course may be taken as a stand-alone or as the second of a two-course program that will enable career teachers and administrators to build a portfolio of documents required for career advancement and National Board Certification. In this course, teachers and/or district staff will be challenged through our adult learning critical reflection process to build a portfolio that documents your prior learning experiences. Your portfolio will organize your experiences in a way that links your personal experience and training to career goals or student learning. Teachers will also explore the National Board’s five-core propositions and teaching standards to gain an in-depth understanding of what constitutes accomplished teaching.
